Throughout our lives, we all wear masks to hide one thing or another about ourselves that we don’t want others to see.
Sometimes we hide certain weaknesses so as to not be vulnerable to another’s ill will.
Other times, we “fake it in order to make it.”
And for many, masks are donned just to hide from visibility period.
Whatever reason we might have to wear the masks we do, we don’t often take into consideration the negative effects these masks can also have.
While I don’t recommend always heeding sleep deprived, late night, philosophical conversations and ideations… a recent epiphany made so much sense…
I immediately took razor to skin.
With a little bit of vulnerability, I have to admit, my “Aha” moment was a decade overdue.
