You Can Never Truly Fail If…

Well… I’ve been cleaning house and putting my affairs in order. For the past few years I’ve been doing the full time, 9-to-5 thing while doing my graphics and marketing consultation on the side.

I’ve grown over time, I’ve learned quite a bit, and I’ve helped others increase their wealth while doing okay for myself and my family.

Over the past year I’ve integrated web design into my range of services I offer, and in the last few months took my office out of the home and into a commercial office.

I am currently working on an affiliate website I have constructed from the ground up, and am in the beginning stages of marketing and filling my office with the right talent.

As I have said before, I will say again… One’s mindset is the key to their success or failure.

So long as you never give up… you can never truly fail. It’s in our trials that we learn lessons and grow.

I guess you can say the point to this post, is to motivate others, to motivate you to keep moving forward.

So without fail… remain in a constant state of knowing and not just “belief”, and, keep it constant.

How are you keeping it constant?

Well… for those who are new enough to the Web 2.0 game and don’t know how to code in html or know any quick and easy shortcuts without Googling the answer every time, today is your lucky day.

The purpose of today’s post is to simplify your efforts when wanting to use certain font types, colors, and formatting of content on your social profiles, commenting, and so forth.

First off, go to you’re My Space profile. If you don’t have one, get a clue and set one up.

In the back office of your MySpace account, immediately underneath your avatar / profile pic are a couple of key selections (unless things have been moved around… again). The one you want to click on is, “Manage Blog”.

Once your blog section opens up, scroll down, find and click “Post New Blog” on the left hand side. The resulting page will include the fields and options you are given when posting a blog to your profile. However, don’t worry about posting a blog at this point.

Whether you want to dress up your profile, customize the content of your comment posts, or convert your copy to html for any reason… your first task is to lay it all out in Microsoft Word.

Now copy and paste your content from Word to the ‘Body’ field of you’re My Space blog post form.

The next step makes the whole process so worth the effort. If you are using a font that no one else is using or a font that My Space doesn’t offer within their editor, you just might find people asking you how did it and want to get inside your head.

Okay then, after pasting your content as indicated above… click on the ‘View Source’ button at the bottom left corner of the body’s text field. And… there you have it!

What you see should copy, paste, and appear as you hoped when you first began your project. And of course, if any tweaks are needed, they should be easy enough to figure out on your own. If not, follow my famous words…

“Google It!”

(Paying attention to some simple when it comes to editing your html content will help in the tweaking process.

<b> Desired Text Here </b> = Bold
<u> Desired Text Here </u> = Underline
<br> = Break. Puts an empty line between paragraphs.)

“Knowledge ISN’T Everything!”

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying that “Knowledge Is Power!” To a certain degree, you could say that. But power? Is power the word that I would use? I am not so sure about that.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, it’s not necessary to be an expert at whatever niche(s) you happen to be passionate about in order to be successful.

Recently, I was reminded of this notion when listening to an internet radio show with Douglas Vermeeren (Creator, Producer, & Director of the movie ‘The Opus’). Success and achievement are nothing but dreams without action.

No matter how knowledgeable you are or are not about a particular passion, snap to it. Take action with what you know, and teach yourself the rest as you go.

If you research and study any interest / opportunity before you are comfortable or an expert in regards to that field, you will never get anywhere. ‘Analysis equals paralysis’ comes to mind.

To sum up, be confident in what you do know and self-assured that the rest will follow.

Oh… and please let me know what it is you are doing. I’d love to check it out.

Until next time.

Prosperous journeying.
